Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe, a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into an ethnically diverse family from South London. Her father is Nigerian and Swiss and her mom is English. She grew up in a south London council estate and attended The Brit School at age 14. In London, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which her acting diploma was obtained. While attending the school and performing in numerous stage plays, including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career by starring in a movie titled Storm Damage. Since then, Madekwe has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Her debut film as a performer was the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred alongside Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Following that success, she played Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN which aired in 2007 and she also appeared in the six episodes of Trexx as well as Flipside as Ollie. In 2008 she landed Bambi's part on the ITV2 Drama Series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The actress was on the series 2 and 3. Madekwe was a part of the comedy How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). Her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe was a part of Ashley Davenport in the ABC Drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode drama aired just 2 weeks at The CW and then it was cancelled. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. Following her appearance as a regular on the first two seasons, it was announced in May 2013 that Madekwe was set to depart the series following a guest appearance in the first episode from the 3rd season. From 2014 to 2016she appeared in Salem as Tituba. Madekwe, her long-time companion, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. They've worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also played a part with her on the TV series Salem.

Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. Her four older brothers were also in the family: twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. All of her brothers were athletic, and they played baseball as well as hockey in the winter as well as in the summer. They grew up playing baseball and arenas. Ashley could not walk but danced. This led to the fact that when she turned 2, she discovered Baby Ballet. It was then that she discovered Ashley's interest in dance. After graduating from the high school she attended, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of tap, jazz, ballet pointe, acrobatics musical theatre, lyrical, and hip-hop. All of the big dance events, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the distinction of "top soloist".
