They moved with their family from Point Pleasant in New Jersey when she was six. She completed her high school education within New Jersey at Red Bank Catholic High School. She then attended Catholic University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in architecture. She also began playing violin at age four, and was referred to as Violin Girl.
