When she was working on Heroes , Larter made several appearances in films. First was her appearance in the Bollywood film Marigold where she received an income of seven figures. She appeared as "Claire Redfield" in the film, which is based on the character from the video game of the same name. The movie was a box office success more than doubling its budget for production, but it also was a disaster for critics. Larter appeared as one of the cavemen in Homo Erectus, a direct-to DVD release. Hayes MacArthur was the co-star of the movie, and she had been engaged with her. Larter appeared alongside Beyonce as well as Idris Elba in the thriller Obsessed . It made it to the top of the charts, but received negative reviews. Certain critics were even quick to compare it to Fatal Attraction.
